The report said Admobis Android is actually quite good, with two percent of all applications in the United States. This puts it in fourth place behind the iPhone, the BlackBerry Curve, Pearl and the BlackBerry.

However, "fourth place" does not mean much here when compared to the iPhone. "Both have grown faster than the market, the iPhone, but growth was much faster than Android," the report said. "To put some numbers to this, we found that traffic to Android States United States increased by an average of 47% per month since its launch five months ago, while traffic of iPhone in the United States have increased an average of 88% per month in the five months following the launch of its App Store. "

Interestingly, took Android OS Palm OS smartphone on the whole market share, each company has six per cent of the market. The iPhone in the lead with 50 percent, while RIM is playing second fiddle to 22 per cent. Meanwhile, Windows Mobile is sitting in third place at 11 percent.
