Verizon and Apple could partner for two "iPhone-like" devices
BusinessWeek reports that Verizon Wireless could partner with Apple to distribute two new "iPhone-like" devices. According to anonymous and not advice, the devices can be considered as early as this summer.
A device is a smaller, cheaper iPhone, described by someone who was seen as an "iPhone lite". The second is a great internet tablet-esque device that would allow users to watch videos, listen to music, view photos and calls on a wireless network.
Like yesterday, the speculation that Apple and Verizon are in talks, the specificity of the information is not confirmed by either company. Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam confirmed to BusinessWeek that the company has spoken with Apple.
"During the last six months, I talked to Steve Jobs," said McAdam.
AT & T exclusivity deal to sell Apple's iPhone will end next year. Some analysts believe that Apple May be in talks with Verizon to try to draw a better price from AT & T.
